Dear fellow employees and potential customers:

I have a story I want to share with you.

In mid-2009 I was hired by MSI to sell reverse mortgages. Later in 2009 I was bothered by a constant pain in my back—every day a little bit worse. I went to several doctors, and finally in December of 2009 an MRI disclosed a stage 2+ tumor in my lung. For the next nine months I underwent chemo, radiation, and heavy pain medication and was unable to work. To this day I still feel the effects of the procedures.

I want to let you know that after all those months of being unable to work, when lesser companies would have let me go, MSI kept me on. My supervisor called me periodically with words of support and told me not to worry about being laid off—“Just concentrate on getting better.” As my boss’s boss put it pertaining to my continued employment, “Leave him alone; he’s got enough to worry about.”
